Exclusive Use - House Party
Arrival DayArriving mid afternoon you begin the home from home experience with a country house atmosphere with a gentler pace of living.
Afternoon tea with local Selkirk Bannock and Border Tart can be served by the log fire in the Drawing Room or if sunny, in the gardens before enjoying a stroll through one of the woodland walks.
In the evening you have the choice of a traditional Scottish 3 course table d'hote dinner in the Dining Room, or a relaxed barbeque in the grounds by the Clubhouse, overlooking the golf course.
After dinner relax in the Library Bar taking in the country house ambience, or it has be known for Hen and Stag nights to be held in the Drawing Room and Library. Jules can assist you with a variety of fun party games and ideas for this.
Second Day
Awake to a traditional Scottish breakfast.
Before the celebrations, you and your guests can spend the morning trying your hand at clay pigeon shooting, a round of golf on our championship golf course or visit the pretty local town of Kelso.
Alternatively the ladies may prefer to relax and enjoy a luxurious treatment in the Health and Beauty Suite, or have fun with activities such as a driving range golf challenge, golf tuition or a clay pigeon "shoot-out"!
The Wedding
Every Bride and Groom bring their own style and magic to the wedding, so no wedding is the same.
The Roxburghe house and grounds setting will give you images to treasure forever, and is renowned for being a photographer's dream.
The Conservatory is the perfect setting for your wedding ceremony, whether you choose religious or civil. This room lends itself well to a magical atmosphere with fairy lights, great for evening entertainment such as a band or disco.
The first meal of a marriage is known as the Wedding Breakfast and The Roxburghe's Chef Keith Short, uses home grown produce such as the finest salmon, game, wild mushrooms and freshly picked herbs from the garden. This will be a feast to remember!
Evening is the time to enjoy the Library Bar's fine malts or dance the night away with a traditional Ceilidh, band or disco in the Conservatory.
A late night supper can be served of stovies or haggis with delicious homemade breads and oatcakes.
A fireworks is the perfect way to end a perfect day!
