Festive Itinerary Roxburghe 2014

Firmly established as one of Scotland’s finest country house hotels, The Roxburghe Hotel & Golf Course occupies a peaceful location set within 500 acres of wooded parkland, beside the River Teviot and close to the market town of Kelso.

Under the direction of the Duke and Duchess of Roxburghe, this country house has been converted into a luxury hotel of great charm and character, whilst retaining an intimate friendly atmosphere which our guests find particularly welcoming.

Our Christmas and New Year House Parties are well established, blending a mix of relaxation, entertainment, delicious food and fine wines.

Arrive in plenty of time to enjoy tea or coffee, homemade afternoon tea and entertainment in the Library Bar.

Get into the festive spirit by enjoying Champagne and canapés while listening to Christmas carols sung by our local choir, the Roxburgh Singers.

A gourmet dinner accompanied by fine wines will follow.

For those of you that wish to attend the Watch Night Service at St John’s Church in Kelso, transport will be provided.

Late night hot beverages and cookies will be available on your return.

Rise to a full Scottish breakfast in the Dining Room.

The morning is left up to you to enjoy the festivities, before pre-lunch Champagne is served in the Drawing Room.

A relaxed traditional Christmas lunch with all the trimmings and accompanied by fine wines will then follow in one of our Dining Rooms.

After all that food relax and enjoy the Queens Speech or take a stroll around the stunning grounds

In the evening, a buffet supper will be served from the Middle Lounge before enjoying original stories from Alasdair Hutton OBE (voice of the Edinburgh Military tattoo)

Is usually a day to relax, so a late breakfast is a must! Breakfast will be served for any early risers.

In the afternoon why not try your hand at Clay Pigeon Shooting or participate in our Falconry display or simply stretch the legs with a Woodland walk.

The remainder of the afternoon can be spent in front of the fire, enjoying hot chocolate and tray bakes.

Dinner and fine wines will then be served, before enjoying entertainment in the Drawing Room with your chance to win some fantastic prizes, to round off your Christmas House Party experience.
