13th to the 16th of June.  Takes part in Harmony Gardens in Melrose.  The gardens are open to the public and dogs are welcome.  Great for all the family, famous and local authors, a box office, café bar and festival bookshop all for you to explore.

/St James’s Fair
Location:  Kelso, 3.3 miles
St James' Fair is a community event bringing together the people of Kelso and visitors from near and far for a weekend of free entertainment, historical re-enactment, competitions and market stalls selling local and continental wares and produce.

/Border Union Show
Location:  Kelso, 3.3 miles
The Show includes competition for Horses, Ponies, Cattle, Sheep, Donkeys, Goats, Poultry,Rabbits, Shepherds' Crooks, Horse Shoeing, Young Farmers Stock Judging and Industrial Arts, with over five hundred open classes, two hundred trade stands and an entertainment ring.

/Border Common Ridings
Location:  All Border Towns partake.
Starts in April and Finishes in September.  The towns of the Scottish Borders are home to one of the oldest equestrian festivals in the world – the Common Ridings – which pay homage to the region’s tumultuous past and celebrate its unique identity.  

/Melrose 7s
Location:  Melrose, 18 miles
Melrose Sevens is an annual rugby sevens event.  Dates back to 1883.  Held every April, the tournament is part of the Kings of the Sevens competition, and has attracted teams from as far afield as Japan, Hong Kong, Uruguay and South Africa. Saracens are the current champions of the tournament.
