The Duchess has designed The Terrace Café to allow its clientele to experience a fresh garden atmosphere.

Chris Percy-Davis has been a professional chef for near 20 years and brings with him a wealth of experience from across the world. He is passionate about food and is always striving for perfection, his main aiming being to bring good, local sourced, seasonal food to customers at the Terrace. Chris uses the age-old secret recipes created in the Castle kitchens over the years as well as bring in his own unique flare.
Food enthusiasts are spoilt with a menu that leaves them craving for a taste of everything! From fresh crusty home baked bread served in clay pots, wholesome soups, famous mouth watering kedgeree, crispy salads, devilled pheasant and piping hot steak pie just to name a few.
Brodies freshly ground coffee range and selection teas are there to be enjoyed in the relaxing atmosphere whilst indulging in a selection of seriously wicked cakes, pastries and biscuits.
The Deli Counter offers a range of delicious goodies to take home including honey roasted ham and beef on the bone (sliced or whole joints), game pies and mouth watering kedgeree.
The Castle Kitchen Produce Shop offers its sought after selection of pickles and preserves, fruit pies and quiches, soups, frozen meals and homemade baking including cakes, biscuits and shortbread. Gluten Free diets are catered for, and reservations are welcome, though not essential.
We also have outside seating where visitors can bask in the sunshine while enjoying the surrounding gardens.
