The Courtyard Restaurant
The lovely sunny and open design gives our restaurant a relaxed and friendly feel, making it ideal for families and groups.
The Courtyard Restaurant started life as a block of stables for the Duke of Roxburghe's polo ponies and has since been converted in the wonderful restaurant you see today.
As with the Terrace Cafe, the Duchess of Roxburghe has personally designed and refurbished the building to ensure that visitors have a pleasant and relaxed visit. After a tour of the Castle, why not continue the historical adventure with refreshments at the Courtyard Restaurant? The canvas art hung on the walls are all taken from original pictures of the Courtyard stable block and the castle's equine residents!
At the moment the menu on offer is as follows:
Soup with a roll
Tomato and basil
Cream of mushroom
£3.85
Sandwiches
Hot herb sausage and caramelised onion £4.95
Smoked Salmon, creamed cheese and chive £4.95
Roast beef and creamed horseradish £5.75
Carved on the bone ham and mustard £4.95
Cheese / ham £3.75
Goats cheese quiche £3.50
Of course, it wouldn't be a Floors Castle outlet if it didn't sell our delicious range of cakes and puddings. So whether you are looking for lunch or just a cup of tea and a scone, the Courtyard Restaurant is the perfect place to stop. Sandwiches are freshly made to order and the rest of the food is made in the Castle's kitchen.
A brand new, top of the range kitchen has been installed so look out for a more detailed menu coming soon.
The outdoor seating is very popular on a sunny day. Close by is the Gift Shop, which sells many interesting little treasures and is well worth browsing.
The Restaurant is open throughout the main season from April until October. (Or see the Terrace Café page for details which is open all year round). It is very important that any groups book in advance if they would like to reserve seating at the Courtyard.
