Andrew Simmons - Head Gardener, Floors Castle

Andrew's career started more years ago than he cares to remember, working in a market garden in Surrey supplying vegetables and cut flowers to London's Covent Garden Market.

After spells as a greenhouse gardener and an assistant green keeper on a golf course, Andrew eventually found his true vocation as a country house gardener. He left the bright lights of London and headed north, first to Cheshire and then on to Jedburgh where he spent the next ten years looking after the gardens at Monteviot.

Before joining Floors Castle, Andrew enjoyed a few years at Balmoral, producing a colourful garden for the Royal family arriving in August.

Today Andrew is the driving force behind the well tended, inspirational gardens and splendid landscapes that surround Floors Castle.
