The Castle - Visitor Information

Opening Times

Floors Castle is open daily until 28th October.

Our opening hours will be 10.30am - 5pm with last admissions at 4.30pm. During October, our opening hours will be 10.30am to 3.30pm with last admissions at 3.00pm.

We reserve the right to alter opening days and times without prior notice, so please do check with us before travelling any distance.

Admission Prices

The Family Ticket admits two adults and two children.

Car parking and entry to the Walled Garden, containing the Plant Centre, Coffee Shop and Playground, are free to visitors all year round.

Tickets are required for admission to the rest of the Gardens or Grounds.

Getting to Floors Castle

Floors Castle is located in the historic town of Kelso in the Scottish Borders. Just one hours drive from Newcastle and Edinburgh.

Dogs

With the exception of guide dogs, no dogs are permitted within the Castle. However, dogs are permitted within the grounds providing that they are kept on leads and under control at all times.

The Visitor Car Park is within woodlands so there is plenty of shade should you wish to leave your dog in the car whilst you tour the Castle.

Outside seating is available at the Terrace Cafe and Courtyard Restaurant.

Water is usually available outside both of the catering outlets and the Plant Centre. If not, then please ask a member of staff for a bowl of water.

Disabled visitors are made more than welcome here at Floors Castle. To make your visit comfortable and enjoyable, we offer the following facilities:

A lift to assist entry to the Castle.

Disabled parking.
Ramps to assist entry into the Restaurant and Gift Shop at ground level.
