We welcome groups and private tours. Floors Castle is a good option for a group visit either with a guided tour or independent entry at their leisure. Feel free to ask us about a tailormade tour on a topic for a group, or if there is something about the Estate in which you are particularly interested.
We offer a discounted rate for all groups and tours of 20 or more.
Note to drivers: Drivers of tours receive free coach parking, refreshments and Castle admission. They are also eligible for a £5 voucher to spend in the Plant Centre.
• Guests are met at the front hall by a Castle guide and given a short introductory talk on the Castle and family
• Guests then tour the Castle at their leisure. There is a guide in most rooms who will pass on more information and answer questions
• Tour the grounds and gardens at guests' leisure
Suggested visit time: 1 hour for the Castle / 2 hours for the Castle and grounds
Guided tours are available by special arrangement. To avoid disappointment please do book ahead for all tours and groups. There is an additional supplement of £2 per person for a guided tour (min 20 people).

Groups and coaches to the Castle and Grounds are very welcome to the Courtyard Cafe. With a delicious range of home-baking and other freshly prepared dishes it is the perfect place for afternoon tea or a light lunch.
Recently refurbished by the Duchess of Roxburghe, the Courtyard offers indoor seating for 84 people with an additional 3 tables outside to seat 18. If would like to discuss group catering in advance, please do call us.

Tenancy: The tenancy will be a Short Assured Tenancy under the Housing (Scotland) Act 1988. The Lease may be renewed at the end of the prescribed term of let but applicants should be aware that possession of the property can be recovered by the proprietor at the expiry of the Lease if required.
Entry and Duration: Entry shall be at such date as may be agreed. The duration of the Lease shall be for an initial period of not less than six months.
Rent: The rent shall be payable monthly in advance by Standing Order on the 1st of each month with a proportionate amount payable on entry.
Repairs: The proprietor shall maintain the premises wind and water tight and keep in repair the structure and exterior of the house (including drains, gutters and external pipes), the installations in the house for the supply of water and electricity and for sanitation (including basins, sinks, baths and sanitary conveniences) and installations for space heating and water heating with the exception of any repairs occasioned by any act, omission or negligence of the tenant. Internal decoration shall be the tenant’s responsibility.
Painting: The proprietor shall carry out external painting.
Deposit: A deposit of two months rent will be payable on entry. This will be repaid to the tenant on termination of the lease, provided all obligations of the lease are fulfilled and the property left in a satisfactory condition.
References: The Estate will require the applicant, in the event of them finding a property that they wish to rent, to complete a Credit Check before granting them a tenancy.
Other Conditions: All the other customary Roxburghe Estates conditions of let shall apply and a copy of the pro forma Lease can be inspected at the Estate Office by bona fide intending applicants.
